Double dipping

Shooting for more than one outlet simultaneously. It allows the PJ to recover costs and/or make a profit by earning income from diverse sources from a single shooting event. A typical double-dip can include a newspaper, one or more magazines and possibly a stock photo agency or individual buyers.

This is most common for freelancers and small-newspaper PJs. This is strictly forbidden at major publications – even for freelancers.
