pH

A scale by which acidity and alkalinity is measured and balanced. Acid solutions contain free hydrogen (H) atoms, alkaline solutions contain oxygen and hydrogen atoms bonded together. Therefore, the pH balance is determined by the bonds per Hydrogen atom.
